ALL NEW KAWASAKI KLX110/L HAS ARRIVED

Research reveals that the Kawasaki KLX110, with its torquey four-stroke single / automatic clutch drivetrain is one of the most fun-to-ride, kid friendly bikes of all time that is actually ridden more by adults than kids. With this is mind, Kawasaki engineers not only thoroughly re-invented the KLX110 for 2010 (more power, more performance and more convenience), they’ve also built an entirely new KLX110 with bigger kids in mind, even fully grown ones: the 2010 KLX110L. Kawasaki is proud to announce that the 2010 KLX110 and 2010 KLX110L are now available from your nearest Kawasaki dealership at the RRP of $3,699 & $3,899 respectively.

 

For 2010, the thoroughly re-engineered KLX110 is more versatile than ever, with more power, more performance and more convenience. You can still kick-start the KLX110 if you want, but there’s an easier option now: Push-button electric starting makes it even simpler than ever to get riding. And once that dependable 112cc four-stroke thumper is warmed up, it puts out about 15 percent more torque and horsepower than before thanks to revised valve timing, a free-flowing new exhaust, a new ignition system and low-tension piston rings.

There’s also one more gear in the gearbox: The new four-speed provides a wider range of ratios so riders can better exploit the engine’s newfound power. Shifting has been improved too, thanks to changes to the shift drum and springs. Meanwhile, the KLX110’s automatic centrifugal clutch gives novice riders one less thing to worry about when all they want to do is ride.

More power calls for more control, so a longer shock out back with a stiffer spring and damping rates to match provides longer, firmer rear wheel travel and greater resistance to bottoming. Up front, fork spring and damping settings have been revised to complement all the other changes, and tapered roller bearings at the bottom of the steering stem mean more durability.

 

The KLX110 “L” model’s seat, at 730mm high, sits 50mm taller than a standard KLX. That’s the result of equipping it with a longer fork with 140mm of wheel travel, plus a longer shock that serves up 132mm of wheel travel out back. Naturally, those long-travel components carry revised spring and damper settings as well, so bigger kids can push harder wherever they ride.

Aggressive riders often demand the superior control of a manual clutch, so the new KLX110L model gets one to compliment its four-speed gearbox. This combination lets more experienced riders wring every drop of performance from the 112cc engine. Convenient push-button electric starting helps make starting the KLX110L quick and easy for any rider.
 
A taller, reshaped seat is part of the deal too, along with a handlebar bend optimized to provide excellent comfort and control to a large variety of riders. In other words, this one’s for big kids of all ages.

 

The Kawasaki design team also outfitted the new KLX110 & KLX110L with a petrol tank, seat, side panels, shrouds and fenders that mimic the KX450F’s.
