Kawasaki’s Toby Price Riding For National Title

MSC KAWASAKI’S TOBY PRICE RIDING FOR NATIONAL TITLE

After winning rounds 7 & 8 of the 2009 Australian Off Road Championships MSC Kawasaki rider Toby Price heads into this weekend’s final two rounds at Young, NSW just 5 points behind the series leader and a real chance to take out the overall win in his rookie year. Toby’s team mate, Josh Green, is also looking at a podium finish to the year currently sitting in 3rd place in the Pro E1 class.

Far exceeding everybody’s expectations but his own, Toby Price has taken to off road racing seamlessly in 2009. With consistent results in the AORC throughout the year, including a podium finish as early as the 2nd round, Toby’s true talent well and truly shone through at the 7th and 8th rounds when he won both rounds in a very convincing fashion on his Kawasaki KX450F.

Very much looking forward to the final two rounds of the competition this weekend, Toby says, “Hopefully I can get a couple of wins this weekend and bring home the Title. Whilst a win would be great, finishing 2nd to multiple World Champion, Stefan Merriman, would still be a great feat.”

“We really weren’t expecting to be this close to winning the Championship in my first year but all the training and bike time is definitely paying off. I’m looking forward to bringing it home this weekend.”

MSC Kawasaki Pro E1 rider Josh Green is also riding for podium glory this weekend. The talented KX250F pilot heads into the final meet in 3rd place in his class.

Josh says, “A DNF two rounds ago didn’t help my chances but I’m still looking at a podium finish in my class so that’s great.”

“I really want to win a round this series and I’ll work hard to get it this weekend.”

With both Toby and Josh having already been selected to represent Australia at the ISDE in Portugal this year, a solid finish in the Australian Off Road Championship would really help contribute to a highly successful year for MSC Kawasaki. The team heads to Young, NSW this weekend 12-13 September for the final two rounds.
