Honda privateer rider Dean Ferris raced his CRF450R to a 4th place overall at Canberra's Round 2 of the Motocross Nationals held on Sunday.
Dean's results in the 15 minute back to back sprint format were 5-2-2-8.
"I started the day a little rusty after only qualifying 10th. I didn't feel comfortable on the Canberra track as it was very tight and one lined."
"I didn't get the greatest start in moto 1 and finished 5th, but I got a much better start in moto 2 and gained the lead on the first lap which I held until the last lap."
"I pulled the holeshot in the next one and battled with Jay Marmont the whole way. We both went over the line side by side and I finished in second by just .004."
"In Moto 4 I got a horrible start. I struggled a little to come back through the field as the track was really one lined, but 4th is still a decent result. I fought hard for my points this round and I am still in the Championship which is the main thing."
"I'd like to thank all my sponsors, Corey my mechanic and all the friends and family that are helping me so much."
