Kids come first at Honda!

Lee Hogan's Honda supported BCP coaching Program is set to travel to the far north/west region of the country this weekend with a nine-day schedule of coaching and visiting schools in the region.

The wealthy mining town of Kununurra is home to the biggest diamond mine in Australia, the Argyle Diamond Mine, and over the next week and a half it will be home for motocross families from Darwin in the Northern Territory to as far west as Broome in WA some two thousand kilometers away.

The local Kununurra Motocross Club will play host to a full range of coaching clinics from Lee Hogan's Building Champions Program over a seven day period, followed by their big annual Muster MX event where the winner will score themselves a raw-cut diamond from the local mine worth around $3000.

"This is always one of my favourite weeks out of the whole year!" said Lee Hogan.

"All the local crew are so much fun and even take us Barramundi fishing when we get some spare time."

On the 15th & 16th of May 2010, the highly anticipated week kicks off with the Kununurra 2 Day BCP motocross clinic.

From there Lee and his team of coaches are off to Windham to visit 'Saint Josephs Primary School' and 'Windham High School' as well as the local Aboriginal communities giving them a presentation on health, fitness and safety within the motorcycling industry.

"I think this is an amazing opportunity to give something back to the local kids who may not get the opportunities that we do," said Lee Hogan.

"The primary and high school visits are going to be great. We have some cool giveaways from Honda, Fox and Silkolene and also some TV footage from MXTV that we are going to be presenting to the whole school at their assembly."

Honda Australia is right behind the BCP Program and support the worthwhile trip to northern Western Australia.

"We're really pleased to see the Building Champions Program being made available to riders from more remote areas of Australia," said Tony Hinton, Honda Australia's General Manager, Motorcycles.

"There are plenty of Honda riders in the Northern Territory and WA, so we're very happy to be able to support a program that directly assists riders within their local area."

"Lee does a fantastic job of working with young riders to develop their skills as well as to educate them on important issues such as safety."

The remainder of the week consists of Elite level coaching and private tuition with local media commitments scheduled in for the visiting coaches.
