Maxwell reports in from Suzuka 300

Honda backed Superbike rider Wayne Maxwell has reported in from today's practise sessions at the Suzuka 300 in Japan where he is competing for the first time.

"The first session went great and I did a 2.15.50," Wayne said.

"I just used the one tyre and kept circulating around to learn the track! I actually really like this circuit and Japan in general. My team mate Kayema did 2.10.73 which was in the top three so we are all pretty happy with the way things are going."

Wayne's time in the second session improved significantly with a 2.13.2, and at the time of press, he was finishing up his third and final session for the day.

The Suzuka 300km race will take place on Sunday June 13^th, and is seen as a prologue for the Suzuka 8 Hour round of the World Endurance Championship on July 25^th.
