Yamaha Australia onboard once again for AORC

The 2011 Yamaha Australian Off Road Championship (AORC) is pleased to welcome Yamaha Australia onboard once again as the naming rights sponsor for the Series.

Yamaha Australia’s Motorsport Manager Ray Howard said he was pleased to be a part of the AORC in 2011.

“Yamaha Motor Australia is pleased to once again, throw its support behind the AORC,” Howard said.

“We see the sponsorship of this event as a key ingredient in our support of Off-Road Motorcycle Sport from a grassroots level.

“It makes clear sense to support a Series that a large proportion of our customers are either interested in or involved in, and the decision reflects YMA's ongoing policy to nurture Off-Road racing in Australia.

“Yamaha's WRF range is an integral part of the Off-Road landscape and if you believe, as we do, that racing improves the breed, then supporting the major National Off-Road Series is essential."

Coordinating the Series on behalf of MA, Denise Hore was thrilled to have Yamaha onboard for the 2011 Championship.

“Yamaha have proven time and time again their dedication to the AORC and 2011 is no exception,” Ms Hore said.

“Once again they have stepped up to the plate and provided the Series with vital funds allowing the Championship to continue.

“Despite tough times facing both the Series and the Industry; they are still keeping our Championship afloat – supporting not only at a National level – but also at some State Championships too which is an outstanding effort on their part.

“In 2011 we’ve got an unprecedented depth of talent with the Championship not a foregone conclusion by any means.”

With the 2011 AORC well and truly underway, MA’s CEO David White said he was delighted to have Yamaha as naming rights sponsor once again.

“I’m thrilled Yamaha have come onboard once again as naming rights sponsor for the Series,” White said.

“On behalf of MA and the Off Road community I’d like to thank them for their ongoing involvement in the Championship and I’m confident 2011 will prove to be an excellent Series.”

Updated details for Yamaha AORC Rounds 11 and 12

Motorcycling Australia (MA) would like to announce that Rounds 11 and 12 of the 2010 Yamaha Australian Off Road Championship (AORC) will be held at Cherrabah Resort, near Warwick, QLD on 4-5 September 2010.

The venue change has arisen due to the cancellation of AORC Rounds 3 and 4 at Conondale, QLD, and the Round 11 and 12 events will be staged as two Sprint rounds as originally scheduled for Conondale.

The Supplementary Regulations and Entry Forms for the 2010 AORC have also been updated to reflect the change, and can be found on the MA website at www.ma.org.au/enduro.
